Help with my NAS RN(312)
I'm new to "Ready NAS". I have the RN312
I probably should used WD red drives but I used

"Degraded" status means that there is no redundancy in your volume. In your case, one of the disks might have failed or is not detected by the chassis. Are the drives also brand new?

I bought the drives on eBay and was told there were refurbished? Now I'm thinking "referbished" by owner as in he formated them?
I have a brand new set of 4TB Western Digital "RED" drives coming tomorrow.

- The new WD "Red" drives are fine. After pulling the WD"Black" drives out, one of them was not accessible. I got a refund on them.
