How can I flush the DNS cache on my Ready NAS?

I tried etc/init.d/nscd restart but there is no nscd file. I'm having problems connecting to a tracker with Transmission after they changed the ip address.

Well, try using host on the NAS and see if it resolves to the correct IP [or not].
