How long should it take to backup 4.2 TB of data to a external USB attached Disk

I measured about 24 MB/s on an RN102 with T322 ( https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyNAS-Beta-Release/6-5-0-T322-RN100-series-front-port-USB-performance-is-sluggish/m-p/1061142#U1061142 )
Though that was with an SSD drive, and the file sizes definitely matter.
But at that speed, your backup would have taken about 55 hours. You seem to be getting something around 6 MB/s. Is the toshiba a USB 3 drive? Or USB 2?

The external drive is a Toshiba 5TB Canvio Desktop External Hard Drive P/N hdwc250xk3j1.
According the the specs it is a USB 3.0 drive that is also USB 2.0 compable.

Did you see similar performance back when you were running e.g. 6.2.4?
Are you able to try a different filesystem e.g. EXT4?
