You can use ReadyNAS Remote on a mobile device if you have one if you don't want to eliminate it as being an option.

Sorry for my late reply, i've been on holiday.
I forwarded some ports in my router and the FTP and HTTP is working. Thanks for the tip.
I can also access my ReadyNAS over [external-ip]/webshare however I don't see any button to logoff so I don't know if this is a safe solution.
I still have one problem using any Android device.
When i acccess my ReadyNAS over [external-ip]/webshare I can see the shares, but I'm not able to open them.
In Windows I can open a share/folder by double-clicking it, but in Android it seems there's no way to open the share/folder.
I also don't understand why I can't open a share directly when I'm on my local LAN
When I enter [internal-ip]/pictures for example I would expect to see a list of files, but it doesn't work that way.
