How to disable raid after I connect disk to computer

For a Duo running xraid / raid1, you can install linux reader on the PC (http://www.diskinternals.com/linux-reader/). For a v1 (4.1.x firmware) you can then read disk-1 if you connect it to your PC using sata/esata or a USB adapter. With a v2 or x86 it shouldn't matter which disk.
If you have more drives (e.g. raid-5 or raid-6) this tool won't help you. Also, Linux Reader doesn't claim btrfs support, so I don't think it would work with OS6.
