  • Can you provide mode details? Depends on what is to be installed
  • mc: depends: libgpmg1 but it is not going to be installed
php5-ldap: depends: libsas12 but it is not going to be installed
    php5-mcrypt: depends: phpapi-20060613
depends: php5-common(=5.2.0.8-etch9-bpo31-1.netgear) but 5.3.8-1.1 is to be installed
  • Have you installed a php addon? If so, you can run "apt-get -f install" but I'd recommend reinstalling the PHP addon afterwards as it may require specific libraries to be installed
  • Yes, I installed WhoCares PHP addon to be able to run AjaXplorer (which I might uninstall anyway, it is very slow and copy time-outs for big files).
Ok, so I do a apt-get -f install and reinstalls the PHP addon directly afterwards.
  • I removed AjaXplorer and PHP5 (AjaXplorer is way too slow for daily work) and retried "apt-get install mc". Got complaining about dependecies:
phpapi-20090626-lfs but it is not installable.
Tried with apt-get -f install and it wants to remove phpapi. Is that a good thing to do?
  • Is it safe to remove smbclient?

    This is what I have

    nas-AB-CD-EF:~# apt-get -f install
    Reading Package Lists... Done
    Building Dependency Tree... Done
    Correcting dependencies... Done
The following packages will be REMOVED:
    smbclient
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 to remove and 71 not upgraded.
Need to get 0B of archives.
After unpacking 9081kB disk space will be freed.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n]
