Is there a way to reset the network config without deleting my data?Yes. Do an OS reinstall - see pages 15-16 here: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RND2110/Duov1_NV+v1_HW_en_06Dec11.pdf
The NAS admin password will be changed back to netgear1 and the network configuration will be reset. Data and other settings aren't affected.
Then hook your NAS up to your router. Find the IP address with RAIDar, and then browse to https://nas-ip-address/admin

Using the ping command on the IP doesn't work.
You need to manually assign a static IP address to the PC ethernet card.
PC IP address = 192.168.168.100 Subnet MASK = 255.255.255.0 Gateway address = 192.168.168.1
You should then be able to connect by IP address.
Another possibility is that you could connect the NAS directly to the router (accessing the files over wifi).
Either way, if you are running Windows 10 you will need to make sure that the SMB 1.0 client is enabled on the PC.
