How to Rsync to external USB?
I've been using Robocopy with the /mir switch to back up Windows user data over the network to a ReadyNas Pro 6 Business. works like a charm. But now I want to backup ReadyNas data to an external US...
I believe while the backup job runs, there's some files in /tmp related to the backup.
USB disks should be formatted under Volumes > USB Storage to use EXT3. Fast USB writes should also be enabled (http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/performance/how_do_i_improve_write_speeds_of_usb_external_drive_attached_to_readynas)
I agree that with 9TB of data to backup you should be looking to backup to another device on your network rather than a USB disk.
