How to "sync" between to NASes
Hi,
I have a Pro Pioneer and an Ultra 2, with the Ultra being backup to the Pro. I have setup Rsync jobs on the Ultra pulling data from the Pro every night.
How do I go about getting the two in sync, not necessarily every night, but at least once and a while? I mean, if I have new files or move some files to a new directory on the Pro, they will be duplicated on the Ultra. However, in some cases I end up with files in two locations on the Ultra, one where they were originally and one where I moved the files to. I appreciate that is because I run an incremental backup, but I still need to have total sync between the two system, if nothing else, then because of space considerations.
Any suggestions?

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserThere is a "Remove deleted files on source" checkbox on step 1 of the frontview backup, which will remove any files on the backup destination that are not on the source.
Normally I leave it unchecked, but every now and then I check it. (not removing deleted files gives me more time to recover accidental deletions - though as you say over time it creates confusion and clutter). - KillerBobAspirantCool, thanks!
I could also replicate all my backup jobs, but with this checked, and only have that one run every month.
