u can add the new 2x 4tb drives in bays 3 and 4
then create a new volume of raid 0 or raid 1
a bit dangerous having 3 or 4 drives in raid 0.
u can of course destroy the existing volume and recreate a new volume with 4 disks in raid 0, 1, 5, 6, 10. that means u need to backup existing data and restore

Actually, there are some new options since OS6.7.0. If you go to System/Volumes and turn off XRAID then insert one of the new drives, one of the options available on the old RAID0 volume will be "Add Parity". Select it, and once the volume finishes re-syncing, you'll have RAID 5. Now, you can turn XRAID back on and add the last drive for expansion. Or, you can leave XRAID disabled and manually perform the expansion for the last drive. Resync is a long process, and you have to do it twice in this process. So if you have an up-to-date backup, the old method of destroying and re-building may be faster in the long run.
I'm currently running a lot of experiments with these new FlexRAID expansion capabilities, since they are as yet undocumented.
I went with Raid 5. It sounded like the best alternative. Right now drive 3 is getting parrity. Its giving a message that
I hope the rest goes as well. TY
