Install LMS v 7.8 after reset of ReadyNAS NV+
Hello. I have done a factory reset of my Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ and upgraded the firmware and now want to install version 7.8 of Logitech Media Server. I have not yet enabled "SqueezeCenter" on the NV+. What is the procedure for installing v 7.8? Do I need to go through a removal procedure of some kind before installing the new version? The standard instructions (http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/app ... /related/1) seem to say that CleanSqueezeCenter needs to be run and then run again after rebooting before any installation. I'd like to avoid that if possible. There is no existing database on my NAS, and no version of LMS or its predecessors has ever been installed since the reset.

- Do not enable the built-in SqueezeCenter, do not run any cleanup scripts, do not remove anything. Just launch Frontview, go to Addons:Install, and install the .bin file.
- Great, thanks. And once it's installed, do I need to enable the built-in SqueezeCenter? Or will it show up in the Add-Ins?
- LMS 7.8 will show up in Addons. You should completely ignore the built-in SqueezeCenter.
