IPv6 OFF. How?
I've been trying a few things at home on the Ultra 2+ and I've been looking to disable IPv6.
I've tried the usual Google/Linux/Etch/Deb web guides...
But none seem to work, or stay stuck.
Any ideas please?

EXAMPLE
# vi /etc/modprobe.d/aliases
Find the line:
alias net-pf-10 ipv6
Replace with:
alias net-pf-10 off
alias ipv6 off
But none seem to work, or stay stuck.
Any ideas please?

I have, but grep shows I still had instances running? (8 IIRC at the time)- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredCan you PM me the output of the following?:

Done. Thanks. 8)- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIPv6 is still in use by Remote/Replicate (whichever you use) and the loop back network device.

Hmmm, thanks mdgm. Can I force Remote to stick to IPv4?- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredNot sure, but why would you want to?

It's just a thing to tinker with at the moment. You know, the old "if it ain't broke, fix it until it is", scenario... IPv6 is also not in use on any of my network devices, (through incompatibility, or just not used) so it seems pointless.
I guess the simple solution is to quit the use of Remote, but I do find it useful at times. Hmm...- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredTo access your NAS using Remote someone would need to have a user account on your allowed list.

Yep, but the IP associated with the IPv6 in netstat, ipconfig, etc doesn't concur with the Remote IP range.
It also dosen't concur with my LAN IP range.
