Is it possible to install Java 8 on ReadyNas 104?
This old topic was closed without an answer, so I thought I'd bring it up again as I have a need for Java 8 JDK (or JRE) to run a specific java application.
Would like to know the same, and according to apt-get there is nothing available for 8. Would anyone know if I get a ARM debian apk could I just install that?

I recently upgraded the ReadyNas to 6.2.2, which somehow broke the filebot installation I had on it.
I have tried to get this running again with many problems. I want to upgrade the FileBot to latest version 4.5, but this requires Java 8. I cannot find any information on installing java 8 on the 104. I can see that 6 and 7 are available, but no info on 8.
If anyone knows how I can do this, can you please advise ? :?

Sounds like you should try 6.6.0 Beta, but do read the Release Notes before upgrading.
