ISCSI multiple clients
How come the contents made from one ISCSI client doesn't show in another client?
I have a win 8 VM with my NVR records to the ISCSI but the recording doesn't show up when my server or any other clients connects to the same ISCSI target.

- ReadySECUREApprenticeiSCSI Targets are really only destined for 1 client.
If you want multiple people to connect to one iSCSI, you need to do clustering (SCSI 3 Persistent Reservation).
You basically add all the IQNs to the allowed list and then use Windows clustering to make sure everyone has the right superblocks. - multiple iscsi client is like multiple computers trying read/write from the same hard drive simultaneously without each computer knowing what the other computers are doing.
each computer can accidently overwrite anything any other computer does = fubar data and/or filesystem
If you need to share data on an iscsi volume, then you should mount it in *one* computer, then *share* the applicable folder/files via that computer;
ie windows server > mount iscsi volume > share 'payroll' folder. - ReadySECUREApprenticeExactly as what TeknoJnky said.
Here's some SCSI3 docs.
