No, no, no. Don't use Notepad as that will corrupt the formatting of the file. Use Notepad++ if anything. You could just use the "vi" command to edit the file via the command line (could look up this command's MAN page for instructions on how to use it).
It is a good idea to make a backup of the file before editing it though.
It's possible you might need to edit the firefly config depending on what its contents are too.
