Thanks for the advice, and apologies for the delay in responding. Had a non-related problem to deal with which appears to have been a disagreement between an NV+ and a linkstation.
Before trying out the edit as suggested, can I double-check one detail. The "service" file I copied seems only to be a list of port allocations for all the services supported on the device, with nothing to do with switching services on or off.
Assuming this is still the correct file, does it matter where the DAAPD = 1 entry goes ?
I've only had this device working for a couple of weeks, and I don't want to rush into tweaks without some degree of understanding.
