Hi folks
I've been following this discussion with great interest (in particular because I have an NV+ v2 and a DUO with the same architecture I think).
I've used the add-on most kindly provided by mdgm to enable the mt-daapd setting in /etc/defaults/services and ssh'd into the box to check it for myself. After restarting the NV+ v2 there was no response to http://my.nas:3689 - so I did a bit of digging and enabled logging in /etc/mt-daapd.conf which shows the following error:
2013-10-28 21:52:56 (4035a000): Error opening db: No backend database support for type: sqlite
Is this part of the reason it's not showing anywhere? And if so what's a likely solution (if any).
I guess something SQL-y?
I'm looking around this site for guidance on sqlite, but am conscious that I don't want to break it whilst it has a couple TB of media!
[ the relevant part of /etc/mt-daapd.conf are (if not overridden elswhere)
#
# db_type (required)
#
# This is what kind of backend database to store the song
# info in. Valid choices are "sqlite" and "sqlite3".
#
db_type = sqlite
