Jbod and adding a disk
Hi folks. Currently have a Readynas 102 with a single disk in JBOD mode. When I add a disk, will it treat it as a separate volume? Or will it span both disks?

In the GUI, does the Xraid icon on the right have a green stripe under it?
You want to make sure Xraid is OFF, before you add another disk otherwise it will use the disk for redundancy.
Once Xraid is off, add the disk and you should be given the option to create a new volume on the new disk. You could also choose to create a raid 1 volume or a raid 0 volume if you wanted to.
What is it that you want to achieve?
Are you running 6.2.4?
Do you have a backup of the data on your existing volume?
