Jumbo Frames Issue
Running readynas Pro, netgear GS716T ports configured for framesize 9216, PC also running jumbo frames but when I look at the diagnostic logs i see this:
Disks
-------------------------------
Passed diagnostics.
Memory
-------------------------------
Passed diagnostics.
Network
-------------------------------
Passed diagnostics.
Performance
-------------------------------
* Jumbo frames are disabled on interface 1. If both your switch and clients support jumbo frames, you can enhance your write performance by enabling jumbo frames on this interface.
* Jumbo frames are disabled on interface 2. If both your switch and clients support jumbo frames, you can enhance your write performance by enabling jumbo frames on this interface.
Volume

Passed diagnostics.
So am I running with Jumbo frames or not?
Thanks Mark

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredHave you made sure you've enabled Jumbo Frames under Network > Interfaces > Performance Settings in Frontview? You'll need to do this for each NIC.
- bettley_smithAspirantYes , MTU set at 9000, NICs teamed with transmit balance

I notice that you are using a Duo V2 !
Is there any way to deal with the Jumbo Frames issue on this device when using dashboard 1.0.0.168 ?
I have just recently purchased a DuoV2 and using it via a 2wire router modem I am having difficulty transferring bulk files without getting a false "device full" message.

Sure am (along with some other ReadyNAS models).SJB66 wrote:

You don't need to enable Jumbo Frames on your devices, in fact it's not an option in the dashboard. Jumbo Frames isn't enabled on the Duo v2SJB66 wrote:

So is Jumbo Frames enabled on your other devices? If not, then no Jumbo Frames isn't the problem. If you have, you could try SSHing in and editing /etc/network/interfaces, but this would be unsupported and the changes might not stick.
Btw this thread is very old. Please in future open a new thread rather than reviving an old thread. If necessary say something I like "I think my issue is like the one mentioned here: <INSERT URL>"
edit: Don't edit /etc/network/interfaces. Edit /etc/default/services. There is a line you can add that should enable jumbo frames: "JUMBO_FRAMES_eth0=0" (no quotes). An OS re-install should disable Jumbo Frames if this doesn't work.
