Loses network connection on Ultra 2 when router is unplugged / restarted

Hi,

I'm running my Ultra 2 for years now, and updated it to OS6 for a while too.

All is running smoothly, but sometimes I have a weird network issue.

When I have to unplug or restart my router, the Readynas isn't able to get back network connectivity, and I need to restart it too.

That's quite annoying, and I never investigate much on it.

Did I missed a setting somewhere ?

Is there any specific Netgear network service to restart / reload ? might be done with Monit.

Thanks!

Regards,

Perhaps download the logs and look for clues in those.

Is your NAS connected to gigabit router/switch or just a 100 megabit one?

Well, didn't find any relevant information in the logs for now.

Do you have a specific one in mind ? will reproduce later on.

Even try a ping test via crontab with ifconfig eth0 down / up if failing, but doesn't seems to restore the network layer.

I'm using a TPLink Archer C5 (1Gbp) as router, and don't have any issues with desktop on Xubuntu.
