I am having similar problems
I connect using RAIDAR and I am able to Browse. Start to do copy to disk OK. after a period of time the connection is lost and the copy stops. Rebooting the Netgear eauipment does allow recovery. This has happened many times. I can use Frontview to see the unit. Raidair even allows "locate" to flash the disk lights.
Today the noise from the fans has become very loud.
hoping someone can help.
