The admin username cannot be changed, and is always admin.

The admin password can be changed by doing an OS reinstall.  Details depend on whether you are running 4.1.x firmware or 5.3.x firmware.  Let us know what firmware RAIDar tells you,

Are you certain this is because you are using the wrong password?

Are you perhaps getting an SSL protocol/Cipher mismatch error in the browser?

Ok, so this is the original Duo and not the later v2.

Instructions for the OS reinstall are on pages 15-16 of the hardware manual:

Be careful not to do a factory reset by mistake, as that will destroy your data.

        The reinstall will

        • reset the NAS network configuration to use DHCP
        • reset the NAS admin password to the default (which is netgear1)

You can access Frontview by browsing to https://nas-ip-address/admin (substituting the actual IP address for the placeholder nas-ip-address).

If you might run into the SSL protocol version/Cipher mismatch error..  The simplest workaround is to use Firefox.  You'll need to set security.tls.version.min to 1 (browse to about:config and search for the setting).

Similarly, you need to have the SMB 1/CIFS client enabled in Windows to access the shares.  You can find that in "turn windows features on or off".
