The Thunderbolt DAS (Direct Attached Storage) may have wiped the disk. You could ask OWC if they automatically wipe disks that you put into it. One of your disks may have no partition table on it in which case the OWC device may have wrongly concluded it was blank.
I strongly recommend backups and this is one of the reasons why.
