MacBook Pro Image Capture Auto-Import to ReadyNAS wont stick

2 weeks ago my 17" Macbook Pro DIED..  iphone AUTO-IMPORT to ReadyNAS pictures/autoimport worked PERFECT.

..

Now.. with my tiny 15" Macbook Pro..  I've changed the auto-import Save to option to ReadyNAS, Pictures,  Autoimport

.. when I take a pic, plug up my iphone it STILL saves to the Macintosh/ admin/ pictures/ autoimport folder.

I CAN NOT get it to stay with the ReadyNAS

Note: this worked perfect on my old mac.

..

I HAVE changed my iPhoto image garden to my ReadyNAS Pictures --- works great

I've changed the itumes music folder to ReadyNAS-- so far working great

..

ONE PROBLEM for ~EVERYONE That has iTunes & a Mac ~

sometime ago Apple forces the iphone to be RESTORED and it deletes yours playlist and APPS.

they said it was a way to force app makers to update their stuff, forcing users to RE-Download updated apps.

SO.. MOVE your apps & stuff from your Mac & iphones to another SERVER, Ext HD, then you can

move it all back to your Newly Restored iphone or computer.

    Hi joe_wht,

I suppose you didn't use any app or software from NETGEAR. Try to check this article from Apple and tell us if it addresses your issue.

    Kind regards,

No.. with my old Macbook Pro I used no app..

ONLY the macbook pro  Image Capture - Auto Import check box & I selected the ReadyNAS folder for my

new photos to be uploaded when I connect my iphone to my mac.   It just always worked perfect.

      .

The apple iCloud article.. No.. I have to many pics & don't want to pay for Apple to hold them

and I'm not gonna delete any.

      .

I TRIED to setup a ReadyNAS  " Backup " but it seems the backup "test connection" can't connect to my new mac.

I was hoping to just let my MacBook pro to autoimport to it's OWN  Auto Import folder

and then let ReadyNAS run a nightly Backup pulling them into my Photos  "autoimport" folder.

      ..

I think there must be some permission that I have not found.

        Hi joe_wht,

What if you mount the said share in your MAC via this article and select it as the path where your pictures will be automatically imported?

        Kind regards,
