Map root to windows drive - ReadyNAS NV+ v2
Hi,
I have read lots of posts and blogs and tried lot's of stuff so please don't tell me to try google... Let's work out the perfect solution instead and thereby "become" a great google search-result!! =)
A very simple question that I think really should have a equally simple answer...
"How do i map my ReadyNAS NV+ v2 root (c:) to a free drive-letter in Windows 8?"
I need this to be able to access it easily from different applications and in the explorer. I also need it to auto-map on windows start.
Since I installed Windows 8 as well as some updates on the NAS this is no longer possible. I used to have \\[NAS-IP]\c$ mapped to a drive in windows 7... Without this possibility my NAS is pretty useless...
I have tried making an NAS access user account with the same username/password as I use in Windows, but no luck there... still can't access c$...
Thanks in advance! /Jesper
NAS: ReadyNAS NV+ v2
Version: 5.3.10

Have you tried deleting all connections to the NAS then attempting to connect as admin? - TheJesperAspirantExactly... The C share gives the error message above... the other shares shows a login prompt that don't let me in with the admin account... All credentials removed from credential manager in windows and all user accounts removed from NAS security tab...
