Maximum Harddisk Capacity

The HCL still seems to lag. The ST8000VN002 and the WD80EFZX are both NAS purposed drives.
WD80EFZX is the same physical size as the WD60EFZX (which is on the list) ...just 8TB instead of 6TB. I bet it will work fine. I'll give it a shot....

I have two installed (both running jbod) and they are working well. One is in an RN102, the other in an RN202.
Despite the ZX, the WD80EFZX are listed by WD as Red Drives. Temps are good (at the moment I see 33C for the WD80EFZX and 32C for the WD60EFRX in the same chassis).
The side mount holes are in the usual position, so the new toolless disktrays work with no problem. One pair of the bottom mount holes has moved though.
FWIW - With drives this size, the RAID sync times are ridiculously long on the RN100 series. Not an issue for your RN516, but a consideration for people using entry-level NAS.
