MIGRATE MY DRIVES TO RN3138

I am buying a new NAS RN3138. I need to use the disks and data from my old NAS RN3130. Do I need to start the new NAS before instlling my old disks?

If you want to migrate all your disks (preserving data) then move them to the new NAS when both NAS are powered down.  Preserve the slot order (not essential, but it makes it easier to troubleshoot later on).  Then power up the new NAS.
