Migrating from RN102 to RN214

Hi

As i understand migrating from the RN102 to The RN214 is basically just swapping the drives over

and to make sure that they are running the same OS

But is the are precedure that needs to be followed and,

when do I restore my configuration file  to the RN214 that I backed up from the RN102

Is there a step by step doc somewhere?

Thanks in advance

  • You don't need to restore your configuration.  As long as you are moving from one ARM based system to another, you simply swap the drives and you are ready to go, fully configured.

If you were moving from ARM to X86, you should remove apps before migration.

Yes. Do that with both NAS powered down, and keep the drives in the original order.  Then power up the RN214.

It should be quick and easy.
