It is beeter to start you NV+ with only original disk 2, the system should be start if the the disk has no issue.
Then hot-add a new brand disk to redundance it. but I did not suggest you to do that.
It is better to start the NV+ with original disk 2, then backup all of it data.
then factory default all of you NV+ with all disks, because the ReadyNAS Duo only worked with Raid-1 for volume data. and the NV+ X_RAID work in Raid_5.
