Missing Folders/Files vied via DLNA plus slow copy

Hi all
I'm having two serious problems accessing files from my ReadyNAS NV+
1: Copying to the ReadyNAS was never as fast as it should be but lately it has been barely usable (20-40min to copy single file of between 750mb – 1.5GB files). A macbook on the same network point copies fine.
2: I could no longer see all my files when accessing them from my Western Digital Live HD, Sony BluRay player or iOS streaming software BUT they ARE visible as normal when the share is viewed mounted on desktop of Mac.

Media share: Media – Videos – Movies (and) TV-Shows. Movies is then sub-divided into eight folders for different genres. Viewing the Video folder via WDLHD I can now only see one of the eight subfolders in Movies and only 7 of the 96 files in that folder.

What could happen to make some files/folders randomly become invisible to ReadyDLNA?

In an attempt to resolve the problems I updated to RAIDiator 4.1.8 [1.00a043] but that hasn't made any improvement.
Tried restarting AFP and Bonjour?
Tried restarting ReadyDLNA
Tried restarting Home Media Streaming Server
Tried applying shared permissions via Apple Info
Tried the volume scan and fix quotas Shutdown Options

I'm hoping that the solution lies with the 'Streaming Services' panel in Frontview. If I re-set the path to my media folder here I'm hoping this will repair the damage and allow my files to be viewed. Can someone advise on the correct naming convention for the file path name on the Home Media Streaming Server as the browse button doesn't seem to do anything?

Any help welcome. Thanks
