Missing share folder since new Win7 PC: Case#19619258 SOLVED

Sorry Experts - can anyone confirm the detail of how I should follow vandermerwe's advice? Pasted again below to clarify which bit I am unsure of.. particularly my concern about overwriting the share folder and making the issue permanent, rather than solving it.

You could try changing the access to give access to everyone and guest, and/or resetting permissions via Frontview.
Then try again, this may expose a permissions problem.

So this would be through ReadyNAS Frontview > Security > User & Group accounts? I have one user here who I don't think is restricted.
Or would it be through ReadyNAS Frontview > Shares > Share Listing? The trouble here is that I don't see my share folder so can't change any settings. I could try re-adding the same share name but then I worry that I might somehow be over-writing the 'hidden' one with all my data on it. What do you think?
