NAS not visible in Network
Hi - My NAS was working perfectly and all of a sudden it is not visible in my Network so I cannot save to it from my PC. I can access it from Readycloud and Online but not through my network. Please ...

Also, try using the IP address instead of the hostname (\\nas-ip-address in the file manager address bar)
This sounds like a discover issue (the PC isn't finding the NAS, but it is still there).
Can you confirm that you have an RN314? If not, what model do you have?
Also, what firmware is it running?

Hi, it's a little late for a reply to this post but I thought I'd do it anyway as I have had the same issue on and off for several years. There are many posts on this forum about the same thing but this one is about the most recent and I have tried them all. I hadn't had the problem for a while till I tried adding a forth hard drive to a set of 3 on my NAS, suffice to say I ran into some complications and had to reset the NAS. Once again the NAS didn't appear in my network again, very frustrating and same issue on 4 computers. So I did the drive mapping by the IP address to get me by. Several days later NETGEAR reappeared on one PC as a network computer but my Media PC still had the issue so I had to play movies and music by accessing them on the mapped drive through the IP Address, not ideal as I had them setup in a Library through smb:\\Netgear\Movies. Then a few days later I lost seeing it again on my PC.
So a while later I was playing around with a couple of network cameras that I was trying to set up a Static IP Address for. I couldn't get them working properly just by assigning an address through the device settings so I went into the DHCP Settings in my router and added the IP Address there also. BINGO! they both showed up on the Network and I could access the through MyDlink.
I figured I would try doing this for the Netgear NAS so I removed the old IP Address settings on the NAS (192.168.1.22) and gave it a new one (192.168.1.99) then I added this IP Address to my to my Routers DHCP Reservation Settings with the NAS's MAC Address. With in seconds NETGEAR showed up as a Computer in the Network. So I went to the Media PC fired it up and there it was NETGEAR on the Network as a Computer.
I hope this might help anyone else looking for a possible solution to this issue.
