On replacing the old PSU:
First check the serial number against the range here: http://kb.netgear.com/29870/Service-Action-to-Prevent-PSU-Failures-in-ReadyNAS-NV-NV? If your unit is in that range, contact Netgear support - they should provide a new supply for free (even if you are out of warranty). Your contact might not be aware of the service action, so you might need to ask to talk to a supervisor.
If the service action doesn't apply, you could purchase this: http://www.evercase.co.uk/CompatibilityListReadynas.htm There might be other sources - are you in Europe?
You can also modify a cheaper supply without too much work - let us know if you are interested in doing that. You need a short 20-pin extension cable, and you need to make some adjustments to the normal pinout.

No, the data isn't encrypted. But you do need tools that understand both RAID and ext file systems. If you can boot a PC using linux (including using a "Live USB") you could use this guide: http://home.bott.ca/webserver/?p=306

I do not have much time and I understand that the fastest would be to change the PSU from Netgear RND4000-200EUS ReadyNAS ™ NV + Version 2 to my old rnd4425. Would it be possible to make the change ?.
Thank you and I am very sorry for the time I am making you lose.
Yes, I'm in Spain.

Doesn't your RND4000-200EUS have an external power brick? That can't work with the RND4425, which has an internal power supply.
