NEED HELP ACCESSING NV+v2
Hi all, before I start explaining the issues I am having, Id like to say that I am not extremely knowledgeable with computer hardware, or networking terms... Ill do my best explaining what has happen...

-If you used the default configuration (and did not explicitly set the NV+ to a static address) then you have a dynamic address.
-However, when you manually set the gateway address to 192.168.2.1, you were assigning a static address. You should also have changed the IP address itself to 192.168.2.x.
The safest thing to do now is an OS reinstall. The procedure is here: http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how ... _boot_menu, in the section labeled "Ultra 4 / Ultra 4 Plus / Pro 4 / NV+ v2" The OS reinstall will not hurt your data. It will fix up your IP address configuration, and will also reset the admin password back to the default ("password" for the v2).
Also, you really should put a backup strategy in place for the NAS. If you have data that you "can't afford to lose" then you need to invest the time and money it takes to back it up. There are several ways RAID arrays can fail.
