Need help getting ftp to work :/
Hi there.. Im experiencing some problems with FTP on my readynas duo and I thought I would check here to see if anyone has any ideas.. The appartments where I live all get internet from the same com...
Just shooting in here that if the users accessing the FTP server from the outside are using windows machines, they can simply put this in the address bar of a normal windows explorer window (not internet explorer): ftp://your.official.ip:yourFTPport and they will be prompted with a username and password.
This gives them access to the FTP server as a normal "disk" / viewed as normal folders. This enables them to upload and download without using a FTP client.
