Netgear ReadyNas3138

Hello,

I recenty purchased a Netgear READYNAS 3138. I open up file explorer from a windows 2019 datacenter server and browse to \\readynasip\share but get windows cannot access \\reaedynasip\share error, I have enabled SMB on server 2019 and am able to browse to it from any other server on the same network. Anything special that I need to do in server 2019. REadynas running firmware 6.10.1

Just figured it out. Server 2019 has annonymous access disabled by default. Need to enable in local group policy editor.

    gpedit.mmc

    Computer configuration

    Administrative templates

    Network

    Lanman workstation

    Enable insecure guest logons.

What credentials are you using to access the NAS?

That's one way, and it's fine if you are comfortable allowing anonymous access to the NAS.

You could also set up a user account for the server on the NAS, and then enter the account credentials into the Credentials Manager on the server.
