Network Backups between ReadyNAS 628X
I'm backing up from one 628X to another 628X over the Network, the process has been working for almost two years with Completed status showing. Recently I'm receiving a Failed status on the backups due to a Read Only file error, but the files still appear to be backing up. How do I fix the error?

What firmware are you running?
Have you downloaded and examined the log zip file for the destination NAS?
Have you checked that the destination NAS hasn't switched to a read-only volume (in response a failure)?
I'm running the latest firmware on both NAS (6.10.4)
I have not downloaded the log Zip file on the Backup NAS.
I can definitely look that up, what should I be looking for in the Zip file log?
How would I check the read only file switch in response to a failure?

It should show up on the log page on the admin ui (and I think it will also show up on the home page).
You could also try manually copying a file to the destination share.

Any errors in system.log and kernel.log around the time the backup fails.

Do you know if the problem began when you installed 6.10.4?
There is a bug in the 6.10.4 with "push" rsync backups (backups with a remote destination). Backups appear to complete, but don't actually transfer data. The reports on that don't quite match what you are seeing though - you are seeing an error, but folks reporting the other bug aren't seeing any error reported.
