My NAS 314 arrived last week with OS 6.0 installed (Plex apparently included). I didn't attempt to install or run Plex before updating, so I don't know if it would have worked at that stage.
Upon setup, I immediately allowed the machine to upgrade firmware to 6.0.6. Now (see previous messages) Plex won't install or run.
Is there any chance that the upgrade should have made changes to Plex but didn't, or that the upgrade doesn't include an update to Plex which is needed ?
If so, could I perhaps get Plex working by downloading a complete 6.0.6 firmware, using it to do a USB boot and then reinstalling OS ?
I shouldn't have to get involved with these kind of mechanics with a brand-new product, and I don't want to if it can't solve the problem, but is it worth trying ?
