New ReadyNAS 516, defaulting to RAID 5

I just got a new 516 yesterday, and put 5 3TB drives into it. However, when I started the unit up, it's saying that the volume is RAID 5 with only 10.46TB's of storage available, even though XRaid appears to be on. I don't need multiple volumes, and I would prefer the additional storage over increased redundancy.

I also don't have the option to destroy the volume, only Defrag and Settings. However, the array is still rebuilding/building, so do I just need to wait for that to complete before I can do anything?

Note the NAS reports volume size in TiB (consistent with windows). This is 1 TiB = 1024*1024*1024*1024 bytes.

If you use power-of-ten (like the disk drive manuafacturers) then your volume size is about 12 TB.
