New user RN102 having issues to write/delete
Hi guys, so sorry for a stupid question but I am getting desperate here. I got the rn102 to only serve as a storage for my media. I created a share for my Videos. Copied some files via the web interface but I would like to be able to use total commander or windows commander/finder for all the edits in the share.
I really cant work out how to do that. I can see the shares in my windows explorer or finder on mac. I can log into the ftp using filezilla but i cannot add or remove files from there. I have one user account setup. In the shares i have ftp enabled. In security for the shares I have three lines: everyone, users, 'my user'. Only the group 'everyone' has got read/write checkbox displayed the other two dont have it. Is this the problem? How do I enable this for 'my user'?
Is there is a way how to remove the security for everyone on my network? I really just want to use this as network hard drive.
thanks in advance

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserFirst of all, the network access permissions only apply for the sharing protocol you highlight (e.g., SMB/CIFS is independent from FTP).
So select each protocol in turn, and make sure "everyone" is set to read/write for network access.
Also set the file security to everyone read/write on the file access tab. You can also try "reset" on the file access tab - which will reset all the existing files to read/write. - lomenakAspirantThanks for your suggestion. I have tried all these and still no luck.
edit: Actually it seems like I could delete a file in Filezilla now. I still cannot do this in windows explorer. Is it something that normally should work at all? - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserYou should be able to delete files in windows explorer.
Have you tried using your NAS admin credentials when connecting with windows explorer? - lomenakAspirantI have just tried to map a share as a drive and it seems to be working this way.. Thanks for your help.
