Newbie Help

Hi everyone.

Just bought a Readynas RND2000v2 and im using 2 x 3tb Seagate drives Link here : http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3tb-seagate-st3000dm001-barracuda-720014-sata-iii-6gb-s-7200rpm-64mb-cache-8ms-ncq-oem

The problem is it's showing the drives as being 738gb instead of 3tb, Ive got a horrible feeling that something isn't compatible.

Its my first nas drive and just dont know what to do,.

Many Thanks for any help :D :D :D

The v2 will handle 4 TB drives. But I don't recommend purchasing one at this point - you'd be better off with the newer RN102. The v2 wasn't in the market long and I don't think it's firmware is up to snuff. It is end-of-life now, so it is getting only maintenance fixes. The new OS on the RN102 still needs some work, but it is in active development.
  • Thanks,

Been out today and bought a brand new on, Just about to plug it in,.,

    Thanks for the advice
