NFS Mount Problems on Ubuntu and MacOS

I am actually having a similar problem with ReadyNAS DUO
Upon fresh boot of the NAS, showmount -e works and shows my exports
As soon as I try to mount the exports onto my Ubuntu box, the mount fails and showmount no longer works.... any ideas?
