Hello, from my understanding, LACP only works when all ports are on a single switch.
If you want to load balance across multiple switches, you might experiment with one of the other bonding modes such as failover or round robin, etc.

I have only 'played' with vmware at various levels, so I am no expert and cannot speak to 'best practices'.
However, what I would do in my limited experience would be to statically assign ips to each nic and not rely on the NAS to do any redunancy, but to leverage the VMWare virtual networking to manage the bonding/redundancy/iscsi isolation virtually.
