No remote access
I have been using the Readynas102 for over a year now, mostly for camera surveillance, streaming music and video. I have always been able to access everything remotely but now nothing, none of the port forwarding has been changed and I can create a server on my PC, so I know it is possible to have remote access.
I have tried setting back to factory default numerous times, for the first few minutes I can use HTTP/HTTPS access, then I get "server stopped responding " also I cannot log into the Plex server anymore.
Locally everything works, if I am on my own network, even if I address the external IP and port. It is as though the ports on the Readynas will not accept a connection when coming from outside.
Please help or if someone needs to buy a door stop with hard drives, let me know
This has been since the upgrade to 6.2.2, I have downgraded again but no change.
Been in touch with Netgear who have given me no help whatsoever but will do a one off fix for 76 euros.
I think I will cut my losses and invest in a more reliable brand ( this one has been irritating to say the least since day one)
If anyone can recommend a NAS that can run Plex and can easily be accessed remotely, I would be very thankful.
