"no root squash" option
I have NV+ and am unclear on how to set "no root squash" option in the NFS tab. I am assuming it is the share folder group field but I am not sure what to text to place there.
I am trying to create a datastore in VMware ESX on a NV+ share and getting errors so my first assumption is that the "no root squash" option needs to be enabled.

How does one do that for the /home share?
I've logged in as root and manually added it to /etc/exports, but you'd think this could be done via Frontview, too.
I've always been bothered by the inconsistency of how /home is handled. Sticking it under the Preferences drop down box of user account management, when all other shares are managed from the Shares tab, seems like a poor design decision to me. - ewokNETGEAR ExpertCurrently, it can't be enabled for the home shares, but it's on our to-do list.
- fuzzrockAspirantI not only added the hosts that I wanted root access to the root-enabled hosts list
but also went to Shares->Shares Listing->Advanced Options
and changed Share Owner and Share Group to "root" and enabled the checkbox
"Set ownership and permission for existing files and folders in this share to
the above setting", then Apply.
This took a while to complete in the background.
VMware software operates as "root" and expects directories and files that it operates on are the same.
