No write permission?
Sorry this must have been asked before, but im struggling to find an answer.
I have a NAS Duo v2 with the latest firmware installed. I have numerious shares set up on it, and have a Win7 PC's using them. Both PC's have *cmd files I wrote to map the drives at logon (or re-run in times of need). The scripts do a simple net use x:/ delete, followed by a net use x: \\nas-drive-001\sharename. Neither client is prompted for or volenters a password.
The desktop Win7 Ult seems to have less problems than the laptop Win7 Pro.
The Win7 Pro laptop, has a particular share which doesn't allow write permissions to folders. It allows me to create new folders at the top level, and then place anything within them, but i am unable to write to existing folders. When selecting a non-writable folder and viewing the premissions Read-Only has a 1/2 tick (filled square), and
seems to accept my request to leave it set to false (applying to sub folders). But once complete, im still unable to write - and when checking the permissions again the square is back.
Any guidelines appriecated :-)

- rudeboy1006AspirantSorry again, as writting this... I seem to have half an answer (although not sure of the reason). When Im on the laptop, and select Security. Everybody did not have Full Control. I was also unable to apply Full Control to everybody to due insufficent privledges. Now on the PC, I was able to apply Full Control to Everybody which has fixed the problem.
Question is now, why can I do this on the PC but not the Laptop. Looking on the advance permission it seems the folders are owned by 'nobody (Unix User\nobody)'
