Noisy NAS now only has one disk light

Ok, long out of warranty.
If you don't have a backup, you can try Linux Reader in a PC (http://www.diskinternals.com/linux-reader/), and pull the data from disk 1. (power down the NAS before removing drives, etc).
Then you can attempt a factory reset (or delete the partitions on both drives via windows), and see if that brings it back to life. You would need to rebuild the NAS (reinstall add-ons, re-configure, and restore data from backup).
