I received a replacement memory module -- though a 512MB one -- from a friend in our company's IT department. I then swapped out my 1GB module for this 512MB one, and ran the factory setup again: RAID-X with all four drives in it. It seems okay-- but I've been here before. I'm going to create some shares and reboot, and see what happens once I start copying data...
