So, the technician, remotely accessed my unit, and I had just rebuilt the 4x2TB XRAID array, and he logged onto it and found this:
"We have remotely logged into your device and checked the integrity of the system. The device shows no improper shut down events and there currently is no evidence of the root file system being corrupted."
So, I then rebooted the device from maintenance mode (TELNET in RAIDar), and sure enough it came up "Corrupt root"
The tech then, got back on the device and found this:
"After looking into your device I see an error with the unit mounting the volume after a successful XRAID start. In this case the issue resides with the device hardware, as such there is nothing further we will be able to do. The final option is replace the hardware. Unfortunately this device falls outside hardware warranty therefore we will be unable to replace it."
Funny how everything now works 100% as a XRAID 4x1TB (spent ~7hrs working on this today). I can't believe I'm still dealing with this after more than a month. Clearly there is an issue with the software that needs to be fixed.
Can anyone from Netgear help me out here?
ps. I've also tried four other sticks of memory (even though the one in there worked fine for the past 4 years).
