It should have come with screws. The screws for the trays are all the same. And in fact are the same used for assembly of the chassis. The screws holding the side panels in place, the top panel on top and the fan panel in place. Some of these screws can be temporarily robbed to hold the HD in place in the trays if for some reason you do not have any. You can "borrow" two screws from the top panel, one from each side panel. This gives you 4, two for each drive tray.
On my NVX units that I bought last summer the screws were in the plastic envelope with the registration form and install CD. Since I was already running the latest version of RAIDar, and registered online, the only reason I opened the envelope was for the small bag with the screws. All three of my units (2 x NVX 6 months ago and 1 x NV+ 4 years ago) came with 19-20 screws giving some spares.
Double check your packaging and documentation envelope. I would assume you have already checked the inside of the trays themselves (the NV+ came with the envelope of screws taped to the inside of tray #4). You can install one drive (slot 1) with standard HD pan head screws as the threads are the standard for 3.5" drives, it the heads that are different (flathead vs pan head). Screws for 2.5" drives won't work as they are smaller.
If you still don't have the screws, open a tech support case. If you are unsuccessful with the L1, ask for a supervisor. The Duo as all NAS units, is supposed to come with screws. You cannot get the screws at computer stores or hardware stores (especially in Europe). If the supervisor is unwilling to help, note the case number and post back in this thread with the case number and send a PM to Chirpa with a link to this discussion.
